Artisan II

This is the second half of the basics course(hours 3 and 4). I build upon the previous knowledge gained form the Artisan Basics class. As a class, we get to dive a little deeper and actually find a use for our fresh baked breads. We will review a few things from the first course and then jump into action with some fun recipes and new baking methods. I will have some demo eats available to feature the given recipes. More advanced ingredients will be discussed such as add ins and other types of flours.

This class does require you to bring some basic equipment. You will need:

Flat cookie sheet that can handle temps of 450*F(absolutely NO GLASS!)
5 quart lidded(not airtight) bowl or container
Large mixing spoon
Plastic wrap

Here is a list of what is covered in the second class:

Multigrain and whole wheat breads
Pizza crusts and flat breads
Mix ins
Cloche baking(using a terra-cotta flower pot)
Cooking in a dutch oven

Be prepared to have a blast and enjoy some good food and company! You will be able to impress family and friends for years to come with this skill. Anyone can do it and its FUN!
